My deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. I know this will be a huge loss to you and your family. Take comfort in your memories of him.
Very saddened to hear of the passing of my elementary school music teacher, Mr. Botwinik. I feel truly privileged to of had him as a teacher. His inspiration became apart of the motivations for my own present career as a music teacher myself. I will always cherish his appreciation of my own musicality. Condolences to his family, he will be missed.

Sender and the Botwinik family, We are so sad to hear that Lerer Botwinik has passed away. For lovers of Yiddish, his classes and choir left us with memories that have lasted a lifetime. I can still remember the repertoires as well as his ‘magnum opus’ book. Your dad had a lasting impact on his students and we are forever grateful.
Yankel and Bina Esther. We are so sorry for your loss.

Dear Leybl, Yankl, Sender and Riva - my heartfelt condolences to you and your family on the passing of our dear Lerer Botvinik z"l. As I mentioned in the Zoom shiva visit on Monday, the words "zikhrono livrakha" truly express my feelings about him. My memories of Lerer Botvinik's singing classes and choir rehearsals and performances are some of the sweetest memories I have of Peretz Shul. He reinforced my love of Yiddish and Hebrew songs which was slowly yet surely growing during my elementary school years. Remembering Lerer Botvinik continues to bring brakhot to me and to the many students who developed a love for Jewish music at an early age because of him. Remembering him truly brings us blessings because he survived the horrors of the Shoah and had the strength and determination to survive and to revive what was lost by instilling a love of Yiddish and Hebrew culture in a new generation of Jews. As the Peretz Shul hymn says: Heibt di shtimes, kinder aleh, heibt di shtimes, zingt in khor, fun di Peretz Shuln aleh kumen mir der nayer dor. Un mir zingen lider nayeh, shtark klingt unzer shtim un klor - Yidn frayeh, mentshn frayeh, vaksn mir der nayer dor!" Ir zol nisht visn fun mer tsar.
